General election 2019: who are the Preston and South Ribble candidates?

The General Election takes place on Thursday December 12. Here is a list of candidates standing for MP.

Because Preston is a large authority, for the General Election, some parts of Preston vote in different authorities.

Residents in parts of Ingol and Cottam Ward and the Lea and Larches Ward vote in Fylde Constituency.

Some residents in the following wards vote in the Wyre and Preston North Constituency:

  • Cadley
  • Garrison
  • Greyfriars
  • Preston Rural East
  • Preston Rural North
  • Ribbleton
  • Sharoe Green wards

To be eligible to vote in the general election you must be registered to vote.

The last day to register in time is Tuesday November 26.

If you wish to use a postal vote, you must apply by 5pm on Tuesday November 26.

The closing date for a proxy vote is Wednesday December 4 at 5pm.
