Fireworks seized after teenage seen throwing them in the street

Fireworks seized in Grange

These are among the fireworks seized by Preston police after a 14-year-old boy was seen throwing them on the Grange estate.

The boy was with several other children when he was stopped by police at around 6pm.

Police have stepped up patrols in the area to target the misuse of fireworks.

A Preston police spokesperson said: “Fireworks are explosives.

“If you don’t know where your children are or what they are doing, please bring them home.”
