Balloon launch to mark the birthday of Paul Fletcher, who died in September

A balloon launch will be held to mark the birthday of Paul Fletcher, who died in September.

The popular grave digger was found dead at Hill Road Cemetery, where he tended to the grounds, on September 2.

Father-of-three Paul was well known in Penwortham and his death saddened the community.

On Monday at 6pm friends and family will gather at Paul’s local, The Barrel and Bean in Leyland Road, to release balloons on what would have been his 47th birthday.

Since Paul’s death, more than £10,000 has been raised for mental health charity Mind, in his memory.
