Work is underway to transform one of Winckley Square’s oldest buildings into luxury apartments.

The Grade II listed property, which was one of the first to be built on the Square during the Georgian period, is now known as The One Winckley Square.

The development comprises 17 one, two and three bedroom apartments, which start at £135,000.

Developer Max Walker-Williams is behind the restoration project of the former solicitors’ offices.

He said: “The One Winckley Square is truly Preston’s most prestigious residential development to date. We’ve raised the bar in the standard of finish, fixtures and furnishings, and the positive response from the market has been overwhelming.

“Once it’s finished, we will have arguably the best apartment in Preston, The Penthouse, which will offer vaulted double-height ceilings with original wood ‘A’ frames.

“I have to say it isn’t just the magnificent building and incredible finish of the apartments that’s led to the success of The One Winckley Square, it’s also the stunning location, the hard work of Louise and her sales team at Entwistle Green, and the well-deserved momentum Preston is experiencing at the moment.”

Four of the apartments sold on the development’s opening day, and a further five have sold since. So far all the buyers are from Preston and will be owner-occupiers.
