Nature Tots – 9.30am – 10.45am and 11:15 – 12:30 – Brockholes Nature Reserve, Preston New Rd, Preston PR5 0AG
Let your little ones get in touch with nature, as they explore Brockholes and get stuck into some fun outdoor activities! Booked sessions in advance are £4 including car parking. £6 on the day.

Autumn Leaves & Berries, Watercolour – 10:00 – Barton Grange Garden Centre, Garstang Road, Brock, Preston PR3 0BT
Paint autumn leaves and berries in watercolour. £12. Booking essential.

Reiko Fujisawa piano recital – 12:30 – St Georges Church, Lune Street, PR1 2NP
Clara Schumann: Prodigy, muse, virtuoso piano recital by Reiko Fujisawa as part of Preston Arts Festival.

NLSSC Beer and Gin Festival – 13:00 – New Longton Sports & Social Club, Chapel Lane, PR4 4AA
A great weekend of beer, gin, prosecco, live music and food, while raising money for the critical care unit at royal Preston hospital.

Ghost Tours at Hoghton Tower – 17:30 – Hoghton Tower, PR5 0SH
Silent torchbearers take you on the ghost tour through the darkened halls of the Tower, where you will encounter spectres from the past and you will be told about the ghostly happenings from across the centuries.
The tour is aimed at adults and is not suitable for anyone under the age of 16. £32 per person includes a two-course meal.

Card Game Night October – 18:00 – Belong Preston, Unit 12 St Georges Shopping Centre, PR1 2TU
A night of socializing and card games. Tickets are £3 in advance and £5 on the door.

The Fabulous Females – 19:00 – Penwortham Arts Centre ‘The Venue’, Liverpool Road, PR1 9XE
Rachel and Cat sing jazz, soul, pop, Motown and musical theatre! Tickets are Free but interest must be registered via Eventbrite.

Ramshackle are a four-piece guitar-driven blues band.

Saturday 12 October

Makers Market Preston – 10:00 – The Flag Market, Harris Street, PR1 2JA
The ‘Makers Market’ is a food, drink, creative and musical event. Taking place on every second Saturday of each month.

Free Family Fun Day.

Preston Schnauzerfest – 10:30 – Cuerden Valley, Bamber Bridge, Preston, PR6 7EU
There’s no set fee to take part in any Schnauzerfest walk. Everyone is welcome to give as little, or as much as they choose to. Every penny raised by Schnauzerfest will go towards helping dogs saved from terrible backgrounds get all the care and veterinary treatment they need.

Cats Protection Jumble Sale – 11.00 – St Leonard’s Church Hall, Marshall’s Brow, Penwortham
The Preston Branch of Cats Protection will be holding a fund-raising Jumble Sale.

10th Birthday celebrations.

Langar Week – 19.00 – Market Street (Outdoor Market)
Preston Sikh Sewa aim to highlight the Sikh practice of langar (free communal kitchen) and its impact. Free vegetarian food for everyone.

The Cosmic Dead Return to Preston and this time it’s FREE!
