Milkman’s window broken on his early morning round

Shane’s milk float was damaged

A milkman is asking for help in tracking down a man who smashed a window on his milk float as he delivered the morning milk.

Shane King was on his round in New Hall Lane at 4.40am on October 22 when a man threw an object at the van.

He said: “I saw a man throw something at the van and stopped to ask him what it was.

“He then punched the passenger window and threw something very hard at the passenger window causing it to smash. He then ran away.”

Shane has reported the incident to the police and is asking anyone who can identify the man to contact the police.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “On Tuesday 22nd October 2019 at 04:30 hours, police received a report that an unknown male threw an unknown item at the rear window of a vehicle and then made off undetected.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting log 0119 of October 22.
