Preston has once again been recognised as being a safe and fun night out for the seventh year running.
The city has been awarded the Purple Flag Award for the seventh year running by The Association of Town & City Centre Management.
The accreditation, which is enjoyed by seventy destinations across the country, recognises a vibrant, safe and well-managed night time economy.

The city centre has proudly âflown the flagâ since 2012, having been re-assessed bi- annually.
Stacey Penney, BIDâs representative for the night time economy said; âA lot of hard work goes in to making Preston a great destination for visitors.
âAs a city we should be proud that we are regarded as one of the safest and best places to enjoy a night out in the country.
âIâd like to offer huge thanks to owners, managers and staff at all the cityâs bars, pubs, clubs, hotels and restaurants for doing what they do and keeping thousands of happy people coming back to Preston each monthâ.
