Cancer Research UK is urging people who took part in this year’s Race For Life and Pretty Muddy to return their sponsorship money.
More than £6,000 of sponsor money is still outstanding from the races, which took place in Moor Park in June.

Display boards have been placed around the park to remind the 2,700 participants to send in any outstanding cash – and what their money can do.
So far the races have raised £121,370, but it is hoped when all the money has been returned that will rocket to £127,700.
Sarah Hunter, Cancer Research UK’s Preston Event Manager, said: “It was a fantastic event, with an inspirational atmosphere. It was great to see so many men, women and children taking part.”
One in two people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer at some point during their lifetime, but the good news is more people are surviving the disease now than ever before.
“Cancer survival in the UK has doubled since the early 1970s and Cancer Research UK’s work has been at the heart of that progress.
“Every day, 110 people are diagnosed with cancer in the North West. To make a significant difference in the fight against cancer we need everyone to return their sponsorship money as quickly as possible.”
