Men charged with burglary after Penwortham break-ins

Police attended a burglary in The Avenue, Penwortham

Two men have been charged with burglary following a number of break-ins in Penwortham.

On Friday afternoon, officers attended two separate reports of burglaries at homes in Valley Road and The Avenue.

Officers made enquiries and arrested Cameron Farley, 18, and Joshua McKay, 20, on Saturday afternoon.

Both men have now been charged with dwelling house burglary and attempted burglary with intent to steal.

Farley, of Maple Drive, Bamber Bridge, appeared at Preston Magistrates’Court this morning.

McKay, of Brook Street, Higher Walton, will appear before magistrates on October 17.

A South Ribble Police spokesperson said: “Police will continue to target and disrupt anyone wanting to commit such crimes.”
