A secret sign-maker has popped up in Preston.

The mystery maker goes by the name @vews_one on Instagram. Their bio simply states: “To Get Your Attention Makes Me Smile.”

The Instagram account started posting eight weeks ago. Since then photos of signs around Preston have been regularly shared. The signs range from funny to cute, and include some inspirational sayings.

The latest post shows a sign hanging from a speed camera near the junction of Blackpool Road and Tulketh Road.

While the undercover creative refused to reveal their identity when asked, they did share an insight into their work.

They said: “It’s just to make people smile. I’ll paint anything – tiles, wood, glass, anything that can be taken down so it’s non-destructive and doesn’t ruin anyone’s property. I’ve been looking around for discarded wood to use.”
