Delays on M6 south of Preston due to collision

Queues on the M6

Motorists travelling on the M6 south of Preston are being advised to use alternative routes where possible.

Two lanes have been closed due to a collision between the Leyland and Clayton Brook junctions.

The vehicles have now been moved to the hard shoulder and are awaiting ambulance and recovery vehicles.

However traffic is still very busy in both directions.

Flooding is also causing delays around the Charnock Richard junction.
