The team behind the Big PNE Sleep Out joined BBC Radio Lancashire’s John Gillmore and Nishma Hindocha to give an update on the event.
Following a public meeting about the sleepout, which takes place at Deepdale Stadium, and more than 200 people signed up the team were quizzed by Gilly.
Chief executive of The Foxton Centre Jeff Marsh explained where the funds raised by the Sleep Out, which aims to raise £50,000, would go.
He also gave an insight into the problems the city faces in terms of rough sleeping.
Jeff was joined by founder of Blog Preston Ed Walker who is helping organise the sleep out alongside Nick Rushton and Michael Treadwell from Biffa.
Gilly heard how the team have seen sign ups growing for taking part and donations reach more than £5,000 so far.
You can listen back to the show (skip to 1hour35minutes, just after George Michael’s Freedom) to hear the Sleep Out segment.
