A Bamber Bridge micropub has been named in the Campaign for Real Ale’s Good Beer Guide 2020.
Brig ’n’ Barrel in Station Road has been recognised in the prestigious guide, which lists the best real-ale pubs according to local CAMRA members, just over a year after opening.
Run by friends Chris Armer and Graham Roberts, Brig ’n’ Barrel offers a range of real ales, lagers, ciders and gins, with a focus on sourcing locally and prioritising quality over big name breweries.
The micropub also runs monthly comedy nights, puts on regular live music, and has a can and bottle shop so customers can take beers away.
Chris said: “We’re very proud to be the only pub in Bamber Bridge to be featured in the Good Beer Guide 2020 – it really is the icing on the cake!
“When my childhood friend Graham and I first made the decision to risk everything and open a micropub in a disused television shop in Bamber Bridge, we never dreamed that just over a year later we’d be recognised by CAMRA for our hard work.”
