The Arthur Street car park near County Hall will be closed this weekend for maintenance work.
No parking will be possible on the car park during these two days (Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September).
This work is being carried out ahead of new parking charges that will be introduced from Monday 14 October for the Registration Office and Record Office car parks, and from Saturday 19 October for weekend parking on the Arthur Street car park.
A council spokesperson said: “The charging structure for these car parks will be consistent with other city centre parking provision that is operated by the county council, and are competitive compared to other car parks in the city centre.”
New signs and payment machines are being installed at the three car parks ahead of the planned date for the introduction of charges.
The decision was made earlier this year to introduce these charges due to the council experiencing increased costs and service demand pressures.
