Preston Art Society is looking for new members as it gets ready to launch a 2019/2020 programme of meetings and events.

The first meeting of the season will take place on Tuesday 10 September at the society’s new venue, Galloway Hall in Brackenbury Road, Fulwood.

Society member Judith Tanczos said: “We are a friendly and enthusiastic group of people including professional artists, amateur artists, and many art-loving non-artists.

“We meet from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month from September until May.

“This season we are offering an exciting programme of talks, demos and workshops. Demonstrations will include oil, watercolour, acrylic, mixed media and urban sketching. Workshops will feature mono-printing and blizzard books and Pop Art in mixed media. These are interspersed with a varied and very interesting programme of talks.

“We look forward to welcoming new members and visitors who love art and would like to learn new skills and meet like-minded people.”
