A private hospital in Preston is expanding.
Greater Lancashire Hospital off Longridge Road has been operating since January 2014.
Now it is seeing a significant extension built so they can treat more patients.
The private hospital is to have a larger operating theatre, consultancy space and a general anaesthetic facility.
Executive chairman Gwam Rajiah said: “There has been a major shift in healthcare delivery recently, towards treating patients in their local area.
“At GLH, we work in partnership with other local providers to offer community-based healthcare of an exceptional quality.
“This expansion will enable us to strengthen further our relationships with local GPs and NHS services to ensure that patients can receive the treatment they need on their doorstep. This is a very exciting development for community-based healthcare in Lancashire.”
