As the Look for a Book craze continues to sweep Preston not everyone is on the same page.
Pictures shared with Blog Preston show how some of the books left for children to find are being ripped up.
One was found strewn across Levensgarth Avenue park in Fulwood during Saturday August 24.
More than 5,000 people have joined the Look for a Book Facebook group.
Parents package up a book and leave them with a message to join Look For a Book and post a picture of the book being found.
Once books are found they are read and then re-hidden or replaced with a different book.

Preston’s version was started by Julie Brogden of New Longton after seeing a similar initiative starting in Cumbria.
Julie told Blog Preston: “I find it upsetting that someone would do this when so many people are being so kind, thoughtful and generous.
“I just try to look at the positive nature of the group and the fact we have 5,500 kind and caring members and that the few [books] that end up this way are only a small minority.”
