A mother has told how wet weather may have saved the lives of her children.
Vicki Louise said her children and friends regularly play out on the trampoline in their front garden in Ribbleton Hall Drive.
Around 4pm on Wednesday August 14 a blue BMW driver lost control and crashed through the wall of their front garden – on the corner with Mitton Drive.
Vicki said: “We have been left with a mangled trampoline and a big gaping hole in our wall.
“Thankfully everyone is safe as we had just got in.
“I’m in shock and feeling very sick as it could of been so different.”
The wet conditions during Wednesday meant her children had not been playing out.
The crash took place opposite Moor Nook primary school.
Two men fled the scene following the crash but were later arrested by police.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service attended and made safe the scene and the car was towed away shortly after the crash.
A police spokeswoman confirmed no one was hurt in the crash.
Anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting log number 0803 of August 14.
