Man jailed for Blackpool Road burglary where window was smashed

A man who smashed his way into a home in Blackpool Road has been jailed.

Shane Jones was sentenced to two years and 10 months at Preston Crown Court.

This following a burglary at a property in May.

While the homeowner was out the 46-year-old used a brick to smash a window and gain entry.

Valuables were taken and Preston Police were able to forensically link Jones, of Butler Street, to the burglary.

A police spokesman said: “A good sentence that will prevent Jones from committing any further crime.”
