Sunday drivers heading through Preston are seeing delays due to a crash on the M6.

Highways England says there is a lane closed on the M6 northbound, although this closure was lifted at 12.15pm.

Emergency services are at the scene between Junction 31 (Tickled Trout) and Junction 31A (Ribbleton/Fulwood).

One lane was understood to be closed.

Delays of more than 10 minutes are being experienced back to Junction 29 (Preston South) and also the M61 feeder lanes where it joins the M6 at Junction 30.

Delays are expected to clear by lunchtime on Sunday August 18.
