A band known for reinventing modern songs in a rockabilly style is coming to Preston.

Doug Perkins and The Spectaculars will bring their high energy set of 1950s-inspired songs to the Continental next month.

With music inspired by rock ‘n’ roll pioneers such as Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, the bandā€™s Facebook page promises they will ā€œget everyone in the room jumping and jivingā€.

Well known in the north west, one band member is from Preston and two are from Chorley.

Doug Perkins and The Spectaculars play the Continental on Saturday 28 September at 8pm.

Tickets are available from the Continental or via Eventbrite.
