The top end of Friargate got a spruce up during a sunny Saturday.

Organised by Bernice Marie Newton and the team at Townhouse Coffee and Brew Bar the Friargate clean up was beavering away.

Helped by volunteers from the National Citizenship Service they swept, weeded and scrubbed.

The area along the front of the Ringway where Friargate crosses it was given a clean up.

The Peace Garden was swept and weeded, all the way along the front of the St George’s centre up to the toilet block approaching Lune Street.
