Early stage works are underway for the next part of the Cottam Brickworks development.

Workmen have been on site at the site along the canal at Lea and Cottam.

It comes as Nexus Planning had permission for remedial works on the site to be carried out.

Remedial works are needed before a full planning application for a revised housing and retail development is submitted.

Nexus Planning indicated the scheme will be more of a ‘village centre’, indicating it will be a scaled-back proposal.
