Artisan Christmas Market planned for the Fishergate Centre

Local makers are invited to showcase their wares

Local makers, bakers and creators are invited to take a pitch at a Christmas Artisan Market at the Fishergate Centre.

The event will take place on the weekend of November 30 and December 1 and will showcase an array of crafts, food and gifts.

Stallholders will be given the chance to promote their small businesses alongside the big high street names in the centre.

They will be given mentoring from local businesswoman Kirsty O’Brien, who is Etsy Lancashire’s Co-Captain and owner of Blenheim Candles.

A spokeswoman for the Fishergate Centre said: “We are looking for unique artisan producers, local independent businesses and food traders who want to be a part of something special.

“This event will be curated to the highest standard ensuring that all businesses involved complement each other, and showcase a well rounded festive shopping experience for the family.

“Not only are we creating this awesome event we hope to create a community of small local businesses to enable them to network, grow and nurture their brand.”

Stalls will be £130 which includes a stand for the weekend, along with mentoring, networking events, profiling of the events on social media channel and more.

Food stalls will be £160 for the weekend.
