Crowds have been gathering at Preston Railway Station throughout Saturday to catch a glimpse of the Flying Scotsman.

Simon Gooch was one of those who got up close and personal with the locomotive.

The Scotsman is making four appearances at the station during Saturday and has been delighting families who snapped a picture with it.

The train is doing a run down to Manchester and then up to Carnforth.

Footage below shows the Flying Scotsman at full steam ahead as it powers out of Preston Railway Station.

The Flying Scotsman is due back into Preston Station at 11.01pm on Saturday (20 July).
