Ringway has fully reopened after demolition work on the former Preston Market Hall car park.
Preston City Council’s demolition of the building had seen a lane closed in the major route through the city since Monday (22 July).
The former car park ramp meant a road closure was needed while contractors Bradley Group completed the work at the Markets site.
Cabinet member for environment councillor Robert Boswell said: “The demolition of Preston’s former indoor market is progressing well. The ramp leading to the old car park is completely demolished and Ring way is back open as normal.
“We thank the public and surrounding businesses for their continued patience throughout this demolition period and look forward to the next phase of the project.”
Demolition is now due to move onto the Market Hall side of the former Indoor Market building.
