A sweet stall within Preston Market Hall is preparing to close.
The Toffee Stall is blaming ‘conditions’ within the market for the departure.
In a sign pinned up it advises customers the final day of trading will be Saturday (27 July).
A spokesman for the Sugar Rush stall said: “Due to the conditions within the market we shall be closing.
“We would like to thank all our customers for your support over the years we have been trading in Preston Market.”
The new Market Hall opened in February last year under the Outdoor Covered Market canopy.
Preston City Council has faced mounting criticism from traders about the temperature within the market as well as other issues highlighted by the traders.

A spokeswoman for the city council said in response to the sweet stall closing: “We are unable to comment at this time, due to lease negotiations with the business owners.”
The city council has yet to respond to a letter from Preston Market Traders Association on 13 May which demands a rent reduction and other action by the council.
