Simon Rigby’s insolvency hearing has been delayed

An insolvency hearing brought by Clifton Meats Ltd against Simon Rigby – the former Guild Hall owner – has been delayed.

Mr Rigby was due to attend a hearing at the County Court in Preston on Monday for a hearing relating to outstanding debts to Clifton Meats.

But a court spokeswoman has confirmed the hearing has delayed due to lack of court time, and a new date has not yet been scheduled.

It is understood a number of other creditors have joined the claim against Mr Rigby, including Preston City Council.

Mr Rigby said it would be inappropriate to comment due to the ongoing legal proceedings.
