Road reopened after incident on Penwortham bridge

Police closed the A59 in Golden Way, Penwortham, this morning after reports a woman was on the bridge.
Traffic built up between Preston and Penwortham while specially trained officers brought her to safety.
The road was reopened at 6.50am and the woman was taken to hospital.
