Police are continuing to search for a prisoner who is on the run.

Matthew Parkinson was convicted of battery, assault and theft in November last year.

The 26-year-old has breached his release licence terms in May after breaking a curfew.

Police say he has links to Preston, Bamber Bridge and Cumbria.

Parkinson is also wanted by police in connection with an allegation of sexual assault in Bamber Bridge in June.

He is white, 5’10”, medium build, with blue eyes and short brown hair.

The public are warned not to approached Parkinson.

Detective Constable Catherine Thomas said: “Parkinson presents a risk to the public and could be violent if approached.

“We would urge anyone who knows where he is to come forward and contact police.

“Furthermore I would ask Parkinson, if he sees this appeal, to speak to us immediately.”
