A small fringe theatre company are bringing a story of modernday womanhood to the city.
Postcard Theatre are to perform Pramkicker by Sadie Hasler.
The script centres on the story of Jude.
She’s always known she doesn’t want children and one day in a cafe of ‘yummy mummies’ she loses the plot and kicks a pram.
Jude is arrested and it results in her being sent to anger management classes.
Her sister Susie goes along for the ride.
Assuming the role of Jude is Coral Sinclair, with the part of Susie being
portrayed by Tilly Sutcliffe.
Director at Postcard Theatre John-Mark Reid said: “As someone who was Preston born and bred, it has always been important to me to try and bring the companies work back home.
“This script is particularly special as it is the first time it has been produced in the North, so I was determined to give Preston an opportunity to experience it.
“I am very humbled to be able to work this piece of text, with two superb actors and with the backing of Sadie and her agency, who have been nothing short of incredible in their support of us producing her work.”
