New weather warning for rain and thunderstorms

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning

The Met Office has issued a new weather warning for heavy downpours and thunder storms.

The yellow warning runs across the region from midnight tonight until midnight on Wednesday into Thursday.

Heavy rain is forecast bringing a risk of flooding to parts of the region.

Driving conditions may be difficult and public transport could face delays.

Commuters are advised to allow extra time for journeys during this period.
