A second Poundland store has opened up in Preston.

The discount retailer said the success of its Fishergate shop had triggered the search for larger premises.

A new unit in Deepdale Shopping Park has been kitted out.

It will also stock the new budget fashion range Pep&Co for women, men and kids.

A spokeswoman for the firm said: “We’ve been proud to serve Preston from our Fishergate store for some years, but we’ve been on the hunt for larger premises where we can show off the best of what we now offer.

“That’s why we’re #Proudland to open up at Deepdale, with the first of our Preston stores with our new PEP&CO fashion range for women, men and kids.

“Our team of 25 are looking forward to welcoming customers to the store.”
