An Indian restaurant looks set to expand its New Hall Lane base.
Nawaab at 164 New Hall Lane has applied to use the first floor and building a new extension across both buildings at 164 and 166 New Hall Lane.
The restaurant, which also serves pizza and is halal, would run the full length of the ground floor and up into the first floor.
Expansion of the restaurant would include a new toilet block and changes to the kitchen.
A statement from Elizabeth Mullett who tabled the plans on behalf of the restaurant states: “We believe the development would increase the market value of the locality. The proposal will not affect the character and appearance of the area but we believe in completing this proposal it would increase the popularity to the unit and therefore the local community.
“It is with the best intentions that this scheme benefits the community and customers. Therefore assisting in uplifting the area and it is hoped that the planning committee and local residents would give encouragement to support such developments.”
Nawaab has a four-and-a-half star rating on Justeat from 1,384 reviews.
