Broughton roundabout has been gridlocked throughout Monday morning due to a crash where the M55 meets the M6.

Drivers trying to reach the M6 south from the M55 and the A6 have been stuck in tailbacks.

The crash, which took place around 7am on Monday (29 July), involved two cars.

Motorists are queueing back to Junction 3 at Kirkham on the M55 eastbound.

And the Broughton roundabout delays are causing knock-on traffic back onto James Towers Way and the A6 at Fulwood.

One lane is shut on the M55 slip road to the M6 southbound.

Delays are expected until 10am.
