We’ve been picking the kids up from school and heading straight for ice cream, sometimes from the good old-fashioned ice cream van but other times treating ourselves to a lovely sit-down venue.

It got us thinking about some of our favourites in Preston…

Bonds of Elswick
Bonds have been making homemade dairy ice cream since 1947.
Renowned for using a traditional recipe handed down through the family!
Their ice cream cart is available to hire for weddings and events.
Bonds also has a Coffee Shop and restaurant. However, the Ice Cream Kiosk is the last to shut often until 8pm in the summer months!

The hall has always served Moo2You ice cream but now they have their very own wafflery!
Dottie’s serves desserts, milkshakes and of course waffles.
To walk it off, take a stroll through the stately home or the grounds. Children can enjoy the animal area or play in the playground where there is a miniature Samlesbury Hall replica and the Mayflower ship!

They produce over 150 (!) flavours of ice cream and are continuously coming up with more.
