A Preston-based cricket club has submitted an updated application for its expansion plans so that development work can begin.
Fulwood and Broughton Cricket Club originally applied to create a new ground to the east of its existing premises in 2016.
The plans, which were approved with conditions, included details of an extension to the existing clubhouse in Garstang Road, plus a new car park and practice facilities.
The latest application from PWA Planning seeks to remove the “pre-commencement elements” associated with the original planning application. This will allow certain parts of the development to start, and for funding to be finalised.
In a letter to Preston City Council, PWA Planning say the changes to the conditions “will not lead to an intensification of the use at the site” prior to the completion of off-site highway works.

The club officially purchased the over six acres of land in June 2018.
The application can be viewed on the Council’s website. Any comments should be submitted by Thursday 25 July.
