An Eid charity lunch hosted by renowned local chest doctor Dr Mohammed Munavvar has raised £4,160 for Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

The lunch, which was held at Imperial Banqueting Suite, was attended by 170 guests including the Mayor of Preston Councillor David Borrow and Rosemere Cancer Foundation’s chairman Peter Mileham OBE.

Royal Preston Hospital Consultant Chest Physician Dr Munavvar, who is President of the European Association of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology, made a presentation about the work of Rosemere.

Guests had the opportunity to browse a variety of stalls organised by local artist and Rosemere Cancer Foundation supporter Kulsoom Satia. An auction of items gifted by local business and families raised funds, including £350 for a £100 Harrods voucher donated by Gafoor Pure Halal Ltd.
