Hundreds of people took a big step towards raising money for a Preston cancer foundation.
Preston boxer Scott Fitzgerald joined Preston’s Mayor councillor David Burrow in the Docks to Disney charity challenge.
The 12-hour challenge saw 4,000 miles collectively clocked up around Preston Docks during Saturday (13 July).
More than 600 people took on the distance which is the equivalent of walking from Preston to Disneyland Florida.
More than £2,000 was raised for Rosemere Cancer Foundation by the event.
The event is organised by Ashton Community Science College.

English teacher Christina Kelly said: “It was a great day. We even had people who were just visiting the docks joining in the challenge, which was brilliant.
“My grandma Pat Hastie had supported the two previous Docks to Disney challenges but sadly, just six weeks after being diagnosed with cancer, she died last December so in tribute to her and the mum of a colleague, who also died a year ago of cancer, the committee agreed to raise money to help other people locally with cancer by supporting Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
“I would like to thank the committee, head of RE Mr Andrew Barrow and his wife Mrs Paula Barrow, who is head of Year Seven, and everyone, who took part and helped make the day so special.”
