Police are entering a fourth night of increased patrols in the Broadgate area of the city.
A dispersal order has been in force since Wednesday (17 July) evening.
It follows a number of issues with anti-social behaviour by youths in Broadgate, South Meadow Lane and the Fishergate Hill area.
Issuing a Section 34 order allows police to ask anyone within the dispersal order area to ask people to leave the area. They face arrest if they refuse.
The Section 34 had been due to end on Friday evening but has been extended.
Police say it will last through until Sunday (21 July) at 6pm.
