Preston’s biggest beer festival makes its return after a two year hiatus from Thursday (18 July).
The Continental has confirmed its beer and live music line up for the four-day festival.
Taking place at the pub in South Meadow Lane it includes more than 200 ales, gins, ciders, perrys and craft ales.
This year’s festival sees the Conti put on four ales they have teamed up with four North-West based breweries to create.
Part of the Meat and Drink Group the ales are brewed in collaboration with the Plungington, Conti and Plau bar.
Liverpool-based Ad Hop have brewed The Art of Ruzu with the Plungington. At 5% it includes a touch of native Japan thanks to Risa at the Plungy.
Northern Monkey brewery in Bolton have provided the ale Risa, Sue and Play too. An Apricot pale ale it is a hazy one and 5%.
Avid brewery, based near Lancaster, have the strongest of the ales with the Middle of Nowhere at 7%. A DIPA.
The Conti has also collaborated with Rivington brewery to create The Whisperer. An IPA at 6% the name comes from the Conti’s Bob managing to tame the Rivi brewery’s notoriously grumpy Jack Russell.
