Appeal for information after teenagers assaulted on a bus

Police are appealing for information after a girl was touched inappropriately and a boy was assaulted on a bus between Preston and Kirkham.

The incidents happened at around 3.10pm on 14th June on the number 61 bus.

The 17 year old was leaving the bus on Poulton Street, Kirkham, when a man has touched her in the crotch area.

A 17 year old boy travelling on the same bus was also verbally threatened and assaulted by the same man.

The man is described as wearing a dark green Nike t-shirt and grey trackie pants, he was fairly tall and about mid-20s with light brown hair and stubble.

It is believed he stayed on the bus until Wesham.

PC Steve Allen said: “This has understandably left the victims upset and shaken up.

“We know the bus was busy around the time of the incident. If you were on the bus and saw something you think may help with our investigation, please get in touch.”
