Fire crews have spent nearly six hours at the scene of a house fire on the outskirts of Preston.

At 2.37pm on Tuesday (2 July) four crews were sent to Gib Lane in Hoghton.

Rubbish being burned outside the property had spread to two adjoining semi-detached properties.

Crews from Preston, Blackburn and Darwen attended the fire.

Firefighters remained in attendance beyond 8pm.

Aerial pictures released by the fire service’s drone show the scale of the damage to the properties and where the fire spread from.

No one was hurt in the fire.
