A new double roundabout is being created as how the Adelphi Square will function for traffic is confirmed.
The University of Central Lancashire is creating a new public square for the ity and building a £60million student centre.
Much of this will be on the existing Adelphi roundabout which is being remodelled.
Plans from UCLan now show a double roundabout is being put in where Moor Lane, Friargate, Walker Street and the Adelphi roundabout meet.

Adelphi Street is becoming one-way, with drivers only able to head up it and then turn into St Peter’s Street to then get into Moor Lane.
The first roundabout will serve traffic coming from the Fylde Road direction and Moor Lane.
A second one joins Friargate traffic and Walker Street traffic.
A new roundabout is also being created where Fylde Road and Corporation Street traffic would meet.
Maps from the university show where crossings will be on the Adelphi Square layout.
