Midwives at Royal Preston Hospital are opening their doors to the general public.

With the interest in shows such as One Born Every Minute the Lancashire Teaching Hospital Trust is holding an open day at the Sharoe Green Maternity Unit.

Parents to be, Mums and Dads and families are being invited to see the birthing unit.

It’s a chance to meet the midwives and see the services available within the hospital.

The event runs on Saturday 6 July from 10am to 2pm.

It is free to attend and there’s a Facebook event with more information.
