Preston’s new Porsche centre was formally opened by the great and the good of the city.
Housed in Watery Lane and Strand Road the centre is the 42nd in the UK.
Porsche Cars GB managing director Marcus Eckermann joined more than 500 guests at the opening ceremony.
Preston North End and Liverpool legend, turned BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson, was also in attendance.
Covering 43,000 square-feet the Porsche showroom has 35 cars on display and a 13-bay workshop.
Part of the Bowker group development on the Docks chief executive Paul Bowker said: “It has been exciting to watch the transformation on the site since we announced the award of the franchise in September 2017. We’re located on a key site for Preston.
“We feel responsibility to make sure that the visitor experience we create is worthy of both the city and such a prestigious automotive brand.
“There has been a real sense of expectation as the building has taken shape. We’re delighted to be open.”
