Police chase in Plungington ends with van smashing into lamppost

Plungington residents were turning their heads as a police chase took place down a side street.
Around 10.30am on Saturday (29 June) Blog Preston understands the police chase took place in Eldon Street.
Lancashire Road Police shared a photo of the van they pursued crashed into a lamppost.
An armed police unit spotted a stolen vehicle using false plates.
A short pursuit took place and the vehicle was abandoned.
The occupants ran off and one person was detained and in custody. No details have been given about this person.
Police now have possession of the vehicle and say they have ‘key forensic evidence preserved’.
