Deepdale Road closed as woman hit by a car

A major road in Preston remains closed due to a woman being hit by a car.

Preston Police have closed off Deepdale Road near Deepdale Community Primary School.

A woman, in her 40s, has been taken to hospital with serious head and leg injuries.

Police have now launched an appeal for any dash cam footage.

The incident took place around 8.15am on Thursday (13 June).

She was hit by a car where Deepdale Road becomes Sir Tom Finney Way.

Police have closed the road between the primary school and Deepdale Stadium.

No details have been given by police about the vehicle at this stage. The driver did stop at the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting log number 232.
