A new woodland centre is opening in Penwortham.

Diggy Sticks is a reclaimed patch of forest off Factory Lane.

Volunteers have formed a Community Interest Company to create a new community project.

A beautiful woodland environment is now in place and offers activities for children to learn about woodland activities.

Diggy Sticks will formally launch on Sunday 26 May with an open event from 11am to 3pm.
