A Preston Muslim charity has confirmed it will be meeting with Tommy Robinson when he visits the city.
AdvertisementRobinson is campaigning to become an MEP at the European Parliament Eleections.
During a visit to Blackpool he was spoken to by Nadeem Ashfaq who co-founded The Light Foundation.
The group works to break down barriers between the Muslim community and other sections of the community, hosting information events, meals and more.

Nadeem spoke with Robinson and said the far-right activist has ‘accepted our invitation for a peaceful and respectful meeting, where we can explore common issues that affect us all.”
A video released by Nadeem shows him speaking with Robinson, who is surrounded by a number of security personnel.
Nadeem said: “He listened to me respectfully, for which I am grateful, when I told him about the Prophet Muhammad having a Jewish neighbour in Madina, and how the Prophet Muhammad allowed a delegation of Christians from to stay in his Mosque in Madina, allowing them to pray there according to their traditions.
“Many of his supporters shook my hand and thanked me for being honest with Tommy.
“May this dialogue be a source of peace for the benefit of humanity.”
No date has been set for the meeting or when Robinson will visit Preston.

Nadeem wasn’t the only Prestonian to visit and speak with Robinson during his trip to Blackpool.
Garrison ward councillor Freddie Bailey also went to speak with the Robinson.
